Beam Wedding

Taylor + Courtney

In the same way that it's hard to find a good hair stylist or doctor, the same can go for photographer and it's always such an honor when clients reach out for more than one session. It was a joy to meet the Farris family last year while photographing Morgan and Chris' wedding, and when Courtney reached out for me to capture her upcoming day this year, I was beyond excited to get to see everyone and document their day! Taylor and Courtney are obviously a perfect match, just by seeing the way they look into each other's eyes, the way their community came together to support them, and the way these pictures turned out effortlessly because they were so natural. Here is the full blog of their day from the champagne and intimate prayer time beforehand to the gorgeous ceremony and roaring dance party that followed.

Congrats to this incredible bride and groom who obviously love each other (and others) so well!

Fields Wedding

I have known Brittany for a few years now thanks to the outreach team at Grand Canyon University and if I could sit and dream up the perfect guy for her, he would be everything that Ryan is. God has this uncanny way of creating people who just fit so well together and love the Lord so well together as a couple. They are marked by their thirst for knowledge, prayer, and devotion to faith. The fact that Brittany and I could sit at lunch or text back and fourth gushing about what a man of God Ryan is and how she is so much better because of him just shows how God is truly the center of their marriage. Here is a visual representation of their special day as they came before friends and family to dedicate their lives to each other and God's work. They endured hail during bridal party photos, experienced tons of laughs through toasts, and rolled out of town after a fun dance party. Enjoy!

Give a girl the right lipstick and she can conquer the world.

The Party!

Thank you Ryan and Brittany for letting me capture your day! Thoughts and prayers to you as you venture into ministry and a life of loving people well! Gosh, I can't wait to see the path that you take and the dreams the Lord gives you!

Williams Wedding

Who knew that when Kylee and I first met freshman year as the only Lopes at our church's college group, that four years later the group would have grown to nearly one hundred, we would have both moved on to new adventures in careers, and she would be marrying the man of her dreams, Kyle! I don't know how I always get the couples that are low maintenance, genuine, and super attractive, but I do. Kyle and Kylee's day was full of laughs, incredible home cooked food, and lots of family love.

Getting Ready.

Sidenote, I love how weddings are opportunities for friends to step in and use their gifts to make the day perfect. Lindsey came from California to do her makeup and she did an incredible job.

This was a sweet moment that Kylee wanted to capture with her niece Selena, the flower girl, wearing her dress so that when she is older and ready to get married herself she can wear Kylee's!

The First Look.

The logistics of this first look took the cake. On a slight time crunch, we loaded up the guys into one car and the girls in another, driving separately to a nearby park. Kylee stayed in the car as she watched Kyle make his way to the lake and stand with his back towards her. She was able to creep up on him, cover his eyes, and surprise him. His expression alone says it all!

That face though...!!

It was impossible to get a serious picture from these three jokesters, so this is what ya get!

Kylee threw her bouquet so fast, it looks like the wind up will have to suffice. I would say the expressions alone do the moment justice.

On to the next adventure...

Thank you so much for allowing me to step into your crazy, down to earth, party loving world for a day. I can't wait to see where the Lord takes your little family!

As always, you are more than welcome to share, like, and comment in regards to this post! Thank you for the support and sharing in the memories! :)

Peckham Wedding

Peckham Wedding

David and Vanessa tied the knot on January 19th, 2016 at Woodland Park Community Church. These two goofballs were able to fill up the sanctuary with friends and loved ones. The decor was Pinterst-worthy, the ceremony was full of laughs, and the entire day demonstrated David and Vanessa's sweet love for each other.

Johnson Wedding

Nick and Mindy come with small town roots and big hearts. They decided to tie the knot on New Years Day in Gillette, Wyoming. When Mindy originally asked me to photograph her wedding and explained I would drive to her small town from my small town in CO, I had no idea what to expect of Gillette. Turns out that I was welcomed into her family and got to see lots of love from people that have seen these two through the good, bad, and ugly. Their special day was chalked full of tears, laughter, soup, dancing, prayers, hugs, and just a great celebration. Everyone comes together for moments like this and it was great to see. Enjoy this story of their wedding day!

Just a small town girl... living in a wedding day jitters world.

This might be one of my favorite candid moments from this wedding. There is something so raw and special about how this guest came to Nick and Mindy to pray for their marriage to be grounded in faith and blessing.

Guests got a kick out of blowing their party horns all night long and watching these two kiss over...and over....and over...again. ;)

There is a story behind the picture on the top right, Nick was obviously hungry mid dance and so he led his bride over to the refreshments so he could grab a quick snack and laughs from everyone in the room.

When the guests start to trickle out, the family brought the house down on the dance floor with the YMCA, of course.

Congratulations to this awesome couple on their marriage! We're all going to blink our eyes and they'll be welcoming a little one into the world, which I am also praying I get to capture some pregnancy pictures here eventually (yeah, Mindy?! haha) This wedding was a small town wedding near and dear to my heart, thanks for letting me become apart of your world for the weekend and capture your special day!
